On September 26th we rolled out the latest upgrades to e-Teller which resulted in a new look and feel! When accessing e-Teller for the first time after the upgrade you will be presented with your security challenge questions for validation. After correctly answering your personal security challenge questions, you will be logged in and will experience the new look and feel of e-Teller. If you should have any issues, you may access our FAQ's for answers to some of the most commonly asked questions or access the Trouble Shooting Guide for help in resolving problems.
While change is always new and sometimes a challenge, the security improvements to e-Teller and the new navigational look and feel lay the groundwork for future enhancements to make our online system even more powerful and secure.

Alerts on e-Teller
Setting up Alerts on e-Teller is simple and easy. Sign on to e-Teller and select My Profile at the very top of your screen. Verify your information is correct and your desired email address is entered. Select save and then choose Alerts from the menu on the left side of your screen. There are four types of Alerts that can be set up. The first two are created by the member and are Financial Alerts and Personal Alerts. The next two Alert types are Marketing Alerts and System Alerts. All Alert types can go to the Online Message Center, your work email, your home email, or all three.
Create Financial Alerts by account to:
- Monitor if your balance falls below a level you set;
- Watch for a particular check to clear;
- Notify you when any check clears above or below an amount you set;
- Monitor Electronic funds transactions.
Create Personal Alerts to:
- Set-up a reminder to pay your mortgage, auto loan, etc.;
- Remember birthdays and other important occasions;
- Remind you of anything else you need reminders on (anniversary's, etc.).
The power to monitor your daily financial activity is literally at your fingertips, even if you do not log into e-Teller on a daily basis.
The Benefits of a Safe Deposit Box
Safe deposit boxes can be used for a wide variety of items. Some people choose to leave their important documents such as a social security card, birth certificate, passport or even old coins and bills. If you're considering renting a safe deposit box to keep your valuables, family heirlooms or important documents, here are a few things to consider.
You should contact your insurance agent. See what your insurance policy states if you have contents in any other place besides your home – you may be able to add the contents of your safe deposit box to the policy. If you have valuables such as jewelry, family heirlooms or old photographs, make sure to seal them in plastic bags or something similar.
Items that take a long time to replace such as a birth certificate or family records definitely belong in a safe deposit box. Make sure you remember to add family members to your safe deposit box access – if you're out of town and someone in your immediate family needs to gain access to a document that is stored in the box, the credit union needs to know that your significant other or children are allowed to remove or take items.

Christmas in Ice
Christmas in Ice is the magical event that lights up the Christmas season in Interior Alaska. Located next door to Santa Claus House, the Ice Park features Christmas-themed ice art sculptures by local and international carvers. Adults will enjoy viewing the competitive entries, all falling under the North Pole theme "Where the Spirit of Christmas Lives Year 'Round."
For the little ones, be sure to check out the Kid's Park featuring an incredible Ice Maze and FOUR LARGE ICE SLIDES! And of course, the spinning twirlers and smaller ice slides continue to be enjoyable for even the littlest ice enthusiasts. Food and beverage concessions are available in the heated facilities on site and are open to the public.

The Angel Tree program is one of The Salvation Army's highest profile Christmas efforts. Angel Tree was created by The Salvation Army in 1979 by Majors Charles and Shirley White when they worked with a Lynchburg, Virginia shopping mall to provide clothing and toys for children at Christmas time.
The program got its name because the Whites identified the wishes of local children by writing their gift needs on Hallmark greeting cards that featured pictures of angels. They placed the cards on a Christmas tree at the mall to allow shoppers to select children to help. Thanks to the Whites, who were assigned by The Army to the Lynchburg area at the time, more than 700 children had a brighter Christmas that first year.
Three years later, when the Whites were transferred to Nashville, Tennessee, Angel Tree was launched in the Music City. WSM radio, which airs the Grand Ol' Opry, came on board that year as the first Angel Tree co-sponsor in the U.S.
Because of the on-air promotion on WSM in Nashville, as well as national publicity on CNN and the Larry King Show, news of Angel Tree spread across the country like wildfire.
Who Angel Tree Serves
Angel Tree gives individuals and partnering corporations an opportunity to adopt less fortunate children and seniors and provide them with personalized gifts and necessities to those who would otherwise receive very little or nothing during the holiday season. Donors can be confident that their gifts go directly, to those who are truly needy since all Salvation Army Angels and are not served by other holiday assistance programs.
Spirit of Alaska FCU branches every year display an Angel Tree in the lobbies with gift requests for a specific child.
